In 2005 Toyota risked its fate on procuring cheap parts to allow price cuts; in 2006 it confronted a quality issue in the face of large-scale recalls; and its base of domestic demand collapsed in 2007 with domestic sales falling for a third consecutive year.
This sort of administration, with the scion assigned to the most difficult tasks, has brought about two effects.
